FamilySearch has digitized two microfilms of Civil Actions Concerning Slaves and Free Persons of Color, Craven County, NC, 1775-1885. There are several record subsets on these microfilms, the first contains 2,083 frames of selected records for Craven County, NC that mention enslaved and free African Americans and the second contains 1,811 frames of records.
