The IAAM Center for Family History is pleased to announce the launch of our Bible records collecting program. We are collecting Bible records from every state in the United States. We hope to grow an invaluable collection of Bible records for African American ancestors.

Bible Records Collecting Program

We are seeking contributions of scans, photographs or transcriptions of the records in your family Bible that document births, christenings, baptisms, marriages and deaths of African American ancestors. As the Bible records collection grows, it will become an invaluable resource for African American genealogy.

And, we are pleased to share that we have something to give back – if you will be so kind as to contribute Bible records to our digital collection, we will send you an archival grade, acid free storage box to help protect your family Bible for future generations!

You can store and preserve your large family Bible in the Gaylord Archival® Blue/Grey Clamshell Rare Book Family Bible Box. Constructed of buffered, acid- and lignin-free, 60 pt. barrier board, this box includes two white labels and 25 sheets of unbuffered 15H x 25″W tissue paper to pad your Bible.

To contribute Bible records, simply fill in the form below, upload your images and tell us where to send your archival grade Bible storage box. We will cherish your contribution and gratefully acknowledge you as the contributor!

PLEASE USE THIS FORM TO CONTRIBUTE A BIBLE RECORD TO OUR DIGITAL COLLECTION.

We will cherish your contribution!

We welcome scanned images or photos of the Bible record, or a pdf file. If you do not have a digital file, you may type the text of the Bible record in the text box supplied on the submit form. Thank you for your contribution!
